Lord of the Ring Wraiths by introvertedart Lord of the Ring Wraiths by introvertedart
I did this for a contest( in B&W ) and then later colored it. At the time it was the best that I could do , but now I see areas that I'd do differently.

You know, this is quite good, imho...

It probably helps that it appears to have been inspired by my favorite part of the LOTR trilogy though. :)

Yep, it was. I actually did it for an LJ contest. I got like no votes. LOL. But it's all good. I'm glad that you liked it : )

And btw I was inspired by the books, not the movie. I mean why should I draw the movie version ? I'd rather draw the Bill version you know ?

But having said that all of the fantasy stuff here has been inspired by books or...AD&D modules. Yes, geeky I know. But its all good.

I figured you'd be inspired by the books... most folks in our generation have grown up with the books creating our vision of Middle Earth... and, unless I miss my guess, so did Peter Jackson.

Geeky?
Remember, you're talking to a former LARPer... there are few geek circles below LARPers. I think the geeks who play Magic: The Gathering are one of the only lower geek subsets...

Well actually a lot of artists of our generation are punks and tend to draw the movie versions of the characters...My thing is why should I draw something you have already seen ?

How did you get into LARP btw ?

LOL

I got into it with my ex and Selene. I used to play Masquerade: The Gathering and Werewolf: The Forsaken.

I can't say I was very good at it... acting is not one of my talents. (I was always too self-conscious.) But it was fun, until I got bored with all the politicking...

God I could go on and on about the flaws in this one : ( But I won't it's too depressing. The only good thing is that I can see them.
